How to deal with stress and anxiety in everyday life

We started phone conversation yesterday with my relative. How are you? He said everything is great here, we are all good.
Then after few minutes he said that he is staying at home out of work due to stress. His blood pressure was going very high and he couldn't cope anymore, so the doctor advise him to be home for three weeks. He is a manager in the very big car company.
As we talked further he said he is contemplating his life and realised he was and is chasing work, work, work all the time but inside he is empty.
 He came to the point of having everything that people consider is needed for happy life. Big house, great salary in the secure company, wife, kid, car...but he is not happy. He is in his 30ties.
His condition is like that, that he need to use mask at night to sleep, cause he can't properly breathe without it. And it is all due to stress.
With this tempo by the time he is 50 he will probably have hearth problems.
When is it enough for us? Is it worth it? Do we live like a donkey chasing a carrot on the stick in front of  us, following the frames of society or we are listening our own hearth and follow him?
The thing is we haven't been thought how to go 'in there', how to see and use the hearth.
From the childhood we've been thought that we have to be best students, follow the society, work to be happy, have family but what about us. Is that all there is?
We need to become sick to wake up. But then where to start.
First of all we need to know what we want. This doesn't have to be set thing. Do you know the feeling? Think how would you like to feel and see where the scenery will be. Put your thoughts into it. Thoughts are energy and you are creating your future that vibrates with this happy energy.
Find time for you. If you don't know how there are plenty videos on You Tube, where you can find meditation clips that you can do in the morning before you go to work. It will make your mind clearer and more at peace. In this space you can think better.
With the clutter in our heads we can't be creative and functional.
If this doesn't work find a place where you can practise meditation in the group.
Start some physical exercises. I found yoga great! On the You tube there is a Channel called Yoga Vidya that has beautiful and very beneficial yoga classes from beginners to advanced levels.
Start reading or listen to audio books that will change the way you think and rise your energy. You can start from the book called; 'Thought and life' from Emmanuel, psyhographed by Chico Xavier.
There is a great program on the pages of Kardec Radio, where you can daily take lessons from this and similar high frequency books and lessons. My favourite ones are with dr. Vanessa Anseloni.
By this time you will crave healthy food because your frequency will go lighter. You will start exploring healthier diet with greens, more water.
When we are down, we think how and maybe this doesn't look like our cup of tea. And it is not because our vibration is low. But if we want to go up we need to commit our self to go out from where we are into where we want to be. Nobody can do this for us.
 If you can't do it by yourself find the group. If you can't find any, create one. You are responsible for yourself. You are not victim.
Things are not happening to you. They are happening FOR YOU! If you see them as a lesson and opportunity to learn you will change your whole life.
Then you will see that even stress have good and less good, but it is always a call for change. And change is sometime better then holiday. You will learn to listen to your body and use it, work with it and correct your thoughts before you create chaos that is called stress and is deposited in the body, that responds with illness.
